The deity symbolized on the Remover of Obstacles shawl is inspired by Lord Ganesha, a revered figure in Hindu culture known as the deity of beginnings, wisdom, and the removal of obstacles. Ganesha is celebrated across spiritual traditions as a guide who clears the path for success, prosperity, and inner peace while teaching humility and patience.

Symbolism of Ganesha:

Elephant Head: Represents wisdom, strength, and the ability to think big, reminding us to approach life's challenges with intelligence and foresight.
Large Ears: Symbolize the importance of listening deeply, not only to others but to our inner guidance.

Backstory:

According to legend, Ganesha was created by Parvati, the divine consort of Lord Shiva, using clay to guard her while she bathed. When Shiva unknowingly returned, a confrontation led to Ganesha’s head being severed. Shiva replaced it with an elephant’s head to restore him, giving Ganesha his unique appearance and immense power.

This act made Ganesha a symbol of renewal and transformation—someone who overcame a profound personal loss to become a source of hope and guidance for others. His presence reminds devotees to trust in divine timing, accept life's imperfections, and embrace every challenge as a stepping stone to personal growth.

MATERIAL
